What Does a Pilates Reformer Cost? An Honest Overview.
Share
The price of a pilates reformer varies enormously. From €500 to more than €10,000. Here is an honest breakdown of what you get for your money.
Under €1,000 — entry level
Built for occasional home use. Light frames, plastic parts, limited lifespan. Fine if you want to try pilates, but not if you want to train seriously or run a studio.
€1,000 to €2,000 — mid range
Better quality but still compromises on materials. Often aluminium frames and basic spring systems. Suitable for home use, less suitable for daily intensive use.
€2,000 to €4,000 — studio quality
This is where you start getting serious reformers. Stainless steel frames, industrial springs, silent gliding. This is the segment STRETCH is in. Our reformer costs €2,499 incl. VAT and performs at the level of reformers that cost twice as much.
Above €4,000 — premium brands
Brands like Balanced Body, Stott and Gratz. Excellent quality, but you also pay for the brand name and import costs. For most studios this is not necessary.
What is the best choice?
For serious home use or a studio: choose the €2,000 to €3,500 range. That is where quality and price meet. Do not buy cheap and pay twice, but also do not pay for a brand name you do not need
At STRETCH we deliver a studio-quality reformer for €2,499 incl. VAT. Financing available. Contact us for more information.
